The restaurant group Big Mamma has been bringing affordable Italian food in chic, Instagrammable, trendy locations into the City of Light since 2015. What makes them unique is that they are 100% Italian, with fresh products brought in from Italy and a 100% Italian staff. After opening their first restaurant, East Mamma, they opened Ober Mamma, which features a fun cocktail list, Neapolitan pizzas, and fresh, home-made pastas. They even offer real Italian coffee, gluten-free pizza, and brunch. The front room of Ober Mamma has a sleeker vibe, with the bar, velvet chairs, and gold accents, while the back room, complete with a massive tree you’ll be dining under, has a more familiar mood. Their signature dish is pâte à la truffe (truffle pasta) and it is truly divine.

They don’t take reservations so plan on waiting some (believe it or not, the wait is worth it). 

Besides Ober Mamma and East Mamma, their other restaurants are Mamma Primi, Big Love, Popolare, and Pink Mamma. They most recently opened La Felicita, which is the biggest food hall in Europe.
