Not only was Sebastien Gaudard Patisserie on a New York Times list of best croissants in Paris, it's also one of the best pastry shops in Paris. All pastries are made in-house, and whether you're eating a tarte aux fruits, a saint-honoré, a mont blanc, or a sorbet, you'll taste that authentically-made difference. Chocolates are (of course) available for the chocophiles, and there's a nice selection of confiserie options like jams and marron glacés so you have something to take back to your jealous friends at home. Upstairs is a small tea salon where breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea are served. For a Paris-perfect morning, buy yourself a croissant at his Tuileries location, and take it across to the street to the Jardin des Tuileries.
