Before your flight

As La Compagnie operates international flights, you are required to have a valid passport in your possession at the time of your flight. Passengers must check formalities of entry and residency at the destination country’s embassy or consulate prior to their flight, so that they can be informed as to whether or not they require a travel visa or other document.

You are responsible for checking the validity of your passport and renewing your passport if needed. On the day of departure, if the documents presented do not fall under the authority of the destination country’s laws, La Compagnie reserves the right not to give you your boarding ticket. In case where the problem occurs upon the flight’s arrival, passengers will pay all charges that the destination country imposes upon La Compagnie.

Customs

The importation of various products is regulated both in France and USA. For all questions, please check with the relevant government departments:

Entry to the U.S.

Passengers must complete the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to entry into the territory of the United States. You may apply for ESTA by visiting the following website: ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization)

For all travelers arriving in the USA, the U.S. government requires all of the following information to be submitted prior to the flight:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Passport number, country of issue, and expiration date
  • Green Card number if applicable
  • Country of residence
  • Address at destination

This information must be submitted upon booking or "manage my booking"

For minors

Children traveling alone or with their parents must be in possession of a valid passport under the name of the person accompanying them. For more information about the formalities of entry and residency, please contact your destination country’s embassy or consulate.

CHECKED-IN LUGGAGE

2 checked-in luggage are included in your ticket fare, whatever the fare you select. The maximum dimensions for checked luggage are:

  • 70 lbs (32 kg) maximum per luggage
  • Total size of baggage 62 in. (height + length + width)

If your luggage exceeds the total size allowed (62 in), or if you want an additional luggage you will be charged for each piece:

  • €200 for flights departing from Europe to the United States
  • $200 for flights departing from the United States to Europe

Please take into account that baggage exceeding 118 in will not be accepted by our agents at the check in desk.

Book your additionnal luggage

In addition to your checked-in luggage, La Compagnie offers free transport for Sports Equipment (*) such as :

  • Skis
  • Surfboards
  • Golf bags
  • Bikes

(*) One registered item per person

ON BOARD LUGGAGE

On board, you will be allowed to carry on 1 bag with the following maximum dimensions: 21 ⅔ in. (55 cm) in length x 13 ¾ (35 cm) in width x 9 ⅚ in. (25 cm) in height. An extra accessory bag is allowed as well, such as a handbag, briefcase, laptop bag or camera case .

The total maximum weight of all your luggage and stored items in the cabin must not exceed 39 ⅔ pounds (18 kg).

We recommend you to keep the following items with you and in sight at all times during your flight: 

ID papers, money, credit cards, keys, computers, cell phones, cameras, valuable or fragile items, and medicine.

LIQUIDS ON BOARD

The transportation of liquids on board the aircraft is strictly limited to the following restrictions: liquids cannot exceed a unit capacity of 3.4 ounces (100 ml), and must be stored in a transparent plastic bag to be presented at security checkpoints.

Items strictly prohibited on board

For safety reasons, all of the following items are strictly prohibited on board our aircraft:

  • Knives and sharp objects, firearms, and all ammunition
  • Printer ink cartridges
  • All liquids and aerosols over 3.4 ounces (100 ml)
  • Gasoline, gases, solvents, ketones, and flammable products
  • Fireworks, toxic or radioactive material
  • Insecticides, pesticides...

 As for prohibited items in checked-in luggage:

  • Lithium reserve batteries
  • Large electronic devices (laptop, tablet) and electronic cigarettes

However, you can still transport them in your carry-on luggage.

We remind you that if you are carrying prohibited items, they will be confiscated by control services.

Online check-in

Online check-in opens 24h prior to departure and closes 2h before the flight. Some passengers (minors, selectees, etc…) are not allowed by the authorities to check-in online. If you are not allowed to check-in online you can check-in at the airport.

AIRPORT CHECK IN

Check-in opens 2h30 prior to the flight and closes 50 minutes prior to departure.

  • In Paris : Orly Airport - Terminal 4 - Desks 45
  • In Nice : Nice Côte d'Azur - Terminal 2
  • In Milan : Milan Mapensa - Terminal 1
