For many Parisians, the 13th is the district where all the coolest clubs and bars are located. Just along the Seine by Quai d’Austerlitz sits Cité de la Mode et du Design, a boxy and tubular green-tinted building perched seemingly over the river. It contains a complex of three clubs, open spaces for cultural events, exhibitions, installations, performances, and restaurants, all focused on innovation, culture, and style. There you will discover something new in France's culture scene: in springtime, through photography; in summer, through an interactive exhibit; in winter, through different country's culture. Because of the clubs located inside, on nicer evenings, people will often sit outside on the docks with a bottle of wine (because drinking on the street is legal in France!) before heading upstairs to dance.
