Bustling with expats and French people who live in the neighborhood or want to drink quality coffee, Fragments is an American-style cafe in the Marais. 

Exposed brick walls, a funky patterned bar, and a giant Bruce Lee poster make it clear that this is a Paris cafe without any stuffiness. Friends chat noisily and studious worker bees type on their laptops while the baristas banter. All (or nearly all) of the seating is for two, with a banquette on one side of a table and a chair on the other. The staff are English speaking and the clientele often are too.

What you can't miss is the avocado toast, it is seriously the best in Paris. Fragments is also idea for coffee drinks, brewing up quality java and the rare-in-Paris iced coffee drink. 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
