LA RECYCLERIE

A repurposed train station

You recognize the word right there at the front: recycle. That’s the goal of La Recyclerie, an repurposed train station dedicated to informing people about reducing, reusing, and recycling. Chickens and honeybees work outside in the urban gardens while guests enjoy the picnic tables, pétanque, and terrace. Inside is the café-cafeteria (though it’s like no school cafeteria you’ve ever seen), library, and DIY space (which you can use!). Upstairs is a work space, with comfy couches and windows allowing for natural lighting. Many people come just to eat breakfast, lunch, happy hour tapas, or dinner in the eco-friendly space where you serve yourself by grabbing a plate (no waiters!). To inform the public directly about eco-responsibility, La Recyclerie host events like tours of their urban farm, workshops on how to live a zero-waste lifestyle, ceramic decorating classes, and talks on pollinators.
