10 euro tickets for the Paris Opera

Without visibility.

With the Palais Garnier and Bastille, the Paris National Opera is a must. Don't just stroll around the Garnier lobby or have lunch on the Bastille steps, you can also go to the Opera. The “without visibility” tickets are for you, the adventurers. To get one and see the Opera cheaply, you must go to the reception and ask for this type of ticket. Maybe you'll have to wait a bit before you see (hear) the performance but it's worth it.

When requesting blind tickets at the Palais Garnier, expect to receive glances and warnings like “these are standing only” and “you won't be able to see anything.” These words may or may not be true. If you're lucky, you might end up with the best seating in high-rise spaces... with a few square meters of floor space and no one but yourself, you can sit, stand, or relax as you want throughout the performance. Sitting you can't see, but you'll always be surrounded by glorious music in comfort. Standing, you can stretch your legs while enjoying a breathtaking view of the stage.

Tickets for the Palais Garnier without visibility are currently 10 Euros, and you will have to show up half an hour before the start of the show you want to attend. In Bastille, it's a bit more complicated: there are only 32 seats available and we were told that they were all standing and completely obstructed. On the plus side, if it's true and turns out to be miserable, you'll only pay 5 euros for the experience.
