Officine Universelle Buly

A return to basics for elegant beauty.

From Fraxel to Botox, today's beauty is more than ever linked to science. As a result, a look back at the traditions of yesteryear is in a way refreshing. This is what Buly offers you. Ramdane Touhami, the master behind Le Cire Trudon and his wife Vistoire de Tailac, a beauty expert, have revived an old pharmacy on Bonaparte's - very chic - street.

Between thick glass containers, dark wooden panels, and a mesmerizing aroma somewhere between incense and medicinal herbs, all the elements come together for a success story. Buly also claims a fine selection of herbs and powders in bulk for a range of uses: face scrubs, masks, lotions, etc. Competent staff collect them in a large glass amphora and then in apothecary-style packaging to take them home.

Touhami's keen sense of design is reflected in the brand's packaged products. Hand creams, alcohol-free fragrances, and vintage style soaps are covered in designs that recall 19th century France, when beauty had a magical quality. They make wonderful additions to a bathroom or boudoir display, and even better gifts for those living outside of the City of Lights.

Buly is a return to basics: a chic return to natural and simple ingredients for elegant beauty.
