Live music for small budgets

In addition to the big prestigious clubs of the Big Apple where the entrance fee can be expensive, there are many bars where it is possible to go and listen to live music for free (or almost: don't forget the tips of the artists).

The Lower East Side is not to be outdone with numerous “Music Halls” where it is possible to discover the New York scene even on a low budget.

Among them, the Rockwood Music Hall: it is composed of 3 stages. The first stage, which is free, is a cozy little bar where bands usually rock, pop, blues or even bluegrass come together. The second and third stages, real concert halls, are often chargeable (for about ten dollars).
